Get started

A specialist winter feed, fodder beet is a crop typically grown due to its very high yields, good bulb storage ability and high feed quality. With a long growing period, fodder beet requires careful management, and requires high chemical inputs for a successful drop. An excellent winter feed and a great alternative to brassicas. Both grazing and lifting types are available.

Grazing management and nutrition

With a long growing-season, fodder beet requires a high level of care during its establishment period, including a weed free and well-drained soil. However, unlike brassicas, fodder beet is not as suspectable to Club Root or Dry Rot and has a lower nitrogen requirement. Once established fodder beet is highly palatable, very high yielding and is well regarded for promoting great body condition.
