Festulolium

Festulolium is a natural hybridisation of ryegrass and fescue species; being either a ryegrass x tall fescue cross or a ryegrass x meadow fescue cross. The resultant hybrids carry the combined traits of the two parent species. In the case of festuloliums with ryegrass and meadow fescue parentage the meadow fescue parentage delivers the benefit of high forage quality plus the endophyte effects on animal safety and improved insect tolerance, while the ryegrass genetics provide the yield performance.
