Get startedFrenzy hybrid ryegrass, a short rotation ryegrass bred for exceptional performance and forage quality. This tetraploid hybrid, which is available with the NEA endophyte or without endophyte boosts unrivalled speed of establishment, making it ideal for rejuvenating old, damaged or run-out pastures or for specialist 2-3 year pastures. Frenzy’s extraordinary year-round yields, especially during autumn-winter, set it apart in the 2023-2024 NFVT® 18-month Italian ryegrass trials.
Where it fits
With Frenzy’s fast establishment it is ideally suited for over-sowing into run-out pastures and for short term 2–3-year specialist pastures.

Available Endophytes
Fungal endophytes exist naturally in symbiosis with ryegrasses, helping to protect plants from insect attack and improving pasture persistence. Many ryegrass cultivars contain endophyte, passed down within the seed. These include the naturally occurring Standard Endophyte (SE) and novel endophytes AR1, NEA2 and CM142, each providing a different level of plant protection.
While endophytes help to protect against insects, some endophytes can impact livestock performance, including causing grass staggers and heat stress. Therefore, it is important to consider animal health when selecting an endophyte that is best suited to your farms environment and the livestock class being grazed.
NEA
Produces animal safe Peramine, very low Lolitrem B, low-medium Ergovaline for broad spectrum insect control while maintaining livestock performance.
